Jack Lisowski fans left frustrated again after Wuhan Open loss

Jack Lisowski fans were left to ponder when or even if the talented snooker star will lift silverware after another frustrating defeat in the Wuhan Open.

Sublime performances and awesome scoring, as well as other top seeds getting beat. gave the Essex cueman a wonderful opportunity to go far in the big money ranking event in China and potentially win a trophy.

But Lisowski failed to build on his form and suffered a 5-1 defeat to world number 70 Long Zehuang in the quarter-final clash. 

It was again a missed opportunity for Lisowski – or as one fan put it a “golden chance spurred” – who is still searching to lift his first major ranking title.

Lisowski fans: ‘He’s a joy to watch’

The 2024 Wuhan Open has been a reflection of Lisowski’s career to date. At times he has shown incredible promise, looking unstoppable and world class. When he is on it he is a joy to watch. But when the pressure comes he repeatedly does not deliver. 

On World Snooker Tour’s Facebook page,  Jack Lisowski fans expressed their frustration at his lack of consistency on the baize.

One fan wrote: “Safe to say Jack will never win a ranking event.”
A second fan said: 
A second fan said: “Jack is the most hot and cold player I have ever seen. I hope some day he wins something. But he is so inconsistent.”
And another fan added: “As I expected. Why is Jack just not able to get to the business end of tournaments? It’s sad to see with the amount of talent the boy has.”
But another Lisowski fan was confident his time would come despite his latest setback on tour. He said: “How about more plaudit comments for Long than naysayers for Jack? Jack’s terrific to watch and will get more chances. With guidance and hard work he will be a champion and prove you all wrong.”
